curbbid.lol is a paid-placement leaderboard, not a real-estate marketplace. Bidding ranks your listing higher — it is not an offer on the home, and the price you bid has nothing to do with the home's value or sale price.
Every board is per-category: Single-Family Homes, Condos & Apartments, Luxury Estates, Land & Lots, New Developments, Rentals. Filtering by category shows rank within that category only.

Rank is purely a function of the current bid on a listing, highest first. There is no other ranking factor — not click count, not how long you've held the spot, not listing quality.
Rank is live: the moment a higher bid lands, whoever it outranked drops.
Rebidding to reclaim a spot you've been outbid on works exactly like a first bid — same minimums, same rules.

A brand-new spot on the board starts at $5.
Claiming a spot that's already taken costs at least $1 more than its current bid — bids are whole dollars, so that's the smallest possible raise.
There is no rule that you must beat the overall #1 price. Any bid that beats the specific row you're claiming is enough — you'll rank wherever that amount lands you on the board.

Anyone can claim any spot by outbidding it — claiming isn't restricted to the listing's original poster. There is no ownership verification tying an address to a person.
When you claim, you set the address, link, bedrooms, bathrooms, and description yourself. None of it carries over from whoever held the spot before you — you're buying the rank, not inheriting the previous listing's content.
Category and price are the one exception: they're fixed to the listing when it's first created and can't be changed by a later claim on that same row. Want a different category? Get listed fresh instead of claiming an existing spot.
Every listing links somewhere — the address is a live link to whatever URL its current top bidder set.

curbbid doesn't know — there's no MLS feed and no verified ownership, so there's no reliable way for the site itself to detect a sale.
A listing with no new bid in 60+ days gets flagged (dimmed, with a note) as possibly stale. That's a statement about inactivity, not a claim about sale status — it doesn't affect rank, which stays purely bid-based.
The linked page is the actual source of truth — it'll show current status the moment you click through.

The bid amount is the payment. There's no separate fee, invoice, or negotiation.
Paid placement is final — bids are not refunded if you're outbid later.
If two people try to claim the same spot at nearly the same time, only one wins the rank; if you paid but got outbid before your payment confirmed, you keep whatever rank your bid actually earned — you are not charged again and not silently ignored.
